Based off research which suggested that 16-24 year olds watched many more films than any other age group, and at the same time, had hardly ever watched any older films of merit, Reanimate was born. To showcase and promote previously released titles to a younger audience. This was a product aimed at a younger market that wanted a magazine that was exciting and informative with an edgy tone. The tone of voice was engineered to be vibrant and ‘zany’. Written copy was put down on paper with an emphasis on entertainment.
The magazine was accompanied by a website which was designed to be much more than a simple placeholder for the magazine. It was to be a film hub, a home for film fans to come together and unite. Forums and memberships, freebies and events would be incorporated to create an expansive experiential place for movie communities. This is Reanimate. ‘Pain is temporary, film is forever’.
